Many REALTORS® still don’t seem to understand that marketing a home properly always includes first rate photography. High quality digital photography should be a major component of every real estate agent’s marketing efforts. An agent’s goal in photo marketing is to provide a quality collection of photos showing home exteriors and interiors for both buyers and sellers. These photos are used for listing presentations, flyers, emails, multiple listing services and agent web sites.
The Multiple Listing Service offers up to twelve, very small photos.
I create full size photo, professionally produced slideshows with up to 40 shots, showcasing your home in the very best light. Utilizing a wide angle lens and no harsh flash will make even the most ordinary home shine! This type of photography is High Dynamic Range Photography (HDR), which provides a greater range of tonal detail than a given camera could ever capture in a single photo. HDR images are taken at various exposures, then "blended together" to bring out the the best shadows, highights and clarity.
Most realtors take their own photographs with small "point and shoot" digital cameras. These types of cameras are NOT appropriate for real estate photography! See the comparison between 'point and shoot' photos versus a quality, wide angle professional photograph.
The problem with real estate photography is proper exposure for the interiors as well as windows. If you look at almost ALL real estate photos, windows are normally "blown out" (white washed) because they are overexposed. Shadows and highlights are muted, dark and smudgy. They photo doesn't "pop"! HDR photographs are brilliant and clear, making your home look the best it can be!
